I’m a walking Colorado cliche: a born Texan who moved to the mountains with his wife and two dogs (golden retriever and corgi). With a childhood in Japan and a year working abroad in Australia, I’ve developed a strong passion for travel, much of which inspires my writing.
In the world of writing, my aim is to traditionally publish Blood of Mezmatl, a fantasy adventure novel inspired by Central American rainforests and cultures.
I graduated college with a minor in Creative Writing. While there, I entered short stories in the university’s short fiction contest, placing as a finalist in one semester and then 1st Place in the next.
I have been writing stories since my high school creative writing class (or even earlier than that, if you count “draw and write” stories in second grade!).
In broad terms, most of my stories fall solidly within second world fantasy, set in imagined worlds with fantastical elements: monsters, magic, strange peoples from strange lands, and more.

Outside of writing, my other hobbies center around getting away from the computer: hiking, skiing, camping, and traveling as much as much as my PTO and wallet will allow. All that said, I love a good board game night and a DnD session even more.

If you’re interested in my work, want to learn more about me, or just want to chat, I’d be happy to talk with you! Please feel free to send me a message on my contact page or through social media.
